There are three components of the Student Data Warehouse training, Course Analytics, Student Analytics, and Course Analytics - Advanced.

Student/Course Analytics Data Marts

Course Ojective : provide information about using pre-built queries against course data delivered via eReports.

Course Prerequisites: Basic desktop computing skills, web browser use, and basic knowledge of the uses of university academic data.

The topics and activities presented include:

Data concepts
System setup and operations
Hands-on practice building and refining queries and reports
Metadata access and uses

Course Analytics Data Mart - Advanced

Course Objective : provide information about using ODBC/OLE-DB compliant tools such as Microsoft Access or Filemaker Pro to connect to and query Data Marts in the OSU Data Warehouse.

Course Prerequisites: Intermediate or higher level desktop computing skills including file directory management, experience with a database tool such as Microsoft Access or Filemaker Pro or knowledge of SQL, and basic knowledge of the uses of various university academic data sources.

Creating ODBC Data Sources
Creating Table Links
Building Queries Demonstration
Building Queries Exercise
Using Metadata
